The History of this Crystal Skull revolves around a series of dreams. In 2007 I was visiting my sister in Monterey California. We went to a local import shop to look at the
eclectic collection they always have in stock. I walked into the back and up on a shelf I saw a beautiful crystal skull that looked real. I was impressed with the quality of
carving. I had been collecting quartz for the last 5 years so knew how hard and prone to fracturing quartz is.
Upon leaving I returned to my home 400 miles away. During the course of the next two years I experienced dreams of a skull with blazing eyes. The eyes were benevolent more curious and inquisitive. This went on for 2 years. I tried to ignore it as I was through collecting Crystals as I was having to put them in boxes in storage. Then May to August the dreams got really intense and I started having the experience of "missing it" during my waking hours.
I had told my friends about the experience on line. They all wanted pictures. I called Natures Bounty to see if the crystal skull was still there after all this time. When Rick answered the phone he said. "Yes it's here waiting for you." I ask for a photo but he was not able to accommodate me due to lack of computer skulls. I then called my sister and ask her to take a couple pictures and email them to me. After telling me I can't possibly use a part of my retirement money for such a thing. She, like others felt skulls were a symbol of evil and were to be left alone.
The photo on the Home page is that photo. The same as I was seeing my dreams. I drove the 400 miles and sat before this crystal skull. The feeling I got was a subtle warmth in my heart area. I felt sadness in her eyes and realize she had somehow seen a lot of destruction or the person that carved it. I made a deal with the store owner and we settled on a price I could not afford. We agreed to keep the price to ourselves.
I brought the Crystal Skull to my sisters home where I was staying and placed the crystal skull outside to get the energy of the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse on August 6, 2009.
The crystal skull had been kept in a collection in a warehouse in Africa for 22 years. It had belonged to a close
friend of the owners that lived and had family in Africa. Upon his death
his family liquidated his estate and ask the import store to sell the
crystal skull for them. It was then in the back room for 5 years. The store had it for 2 years for display the day I came in and discovered it. This is all the history I have on this skull. It is not much but it is accurate to the best of my knowledge. I do not have to make up an exotic story for this skull as it speaks for it's self.
I was surprised to see this Occlusion in the back of the crystal skull. It was over 1" inside the skull, totally encapsulated in clear quartz. The edges reach the outside of the cranium
and can be felt with a fingernail. There seems to be 3 layers of quartz with the iron Oxide Occlusion between the last two layers. I never knew this was there when I saw it the first time.
Below: I saw the jaw was cut separate from jaw somehow. Foils starting in the skull are seen in the jaw, both have Golden Rutile, called Angel Hair. Coming from Titantium in the
Notice how the front teeth angle to the skull's right? Also the lobes of the skull are not even the one on it's right is wider. This is not a machine cut skull as it would be even.
This was the first time this crystal skull was in the direct Sunlight in over 29 years. It is very clear in the center with a water clear view from the side. The jaw looks like it could be from another piece of quartz, as the light catches it directly. Turns out it's cut from skull, it's just the lighting. See: Jaw Cut From Skull
Annie my partner and I spent time with this skull and both noticed her sad eyes. We discussed how it made feel, Annie said, "She shows Compassion" in her gaze. We decided to
call her what she represented, "Compassion" as a crystal last for ever a name is only a transitory thing. Annie was against the rather large purchase as it was part of my retirement however when I brought the crystal skull home she took over, telling me what Compassion desired and how to show and handle her. I didn't say a thing, seems she communicated with woman easier.
Now almost a year later the crystal skull Compassion has become a major part of our lives. See: Home
