This crystal skull came to me in my dreams after seeing her for the first time in almost 2 years. I was in Nature's Bounty, a very up scale international import shop with exotic display's from around the world. My sister Stephanie and I were just going in to browse. I enjoy going there when I visit her in Carmel. A crystal skull was way in the back up on a high shelf. I made "eye contact" and it held my gaze. I appreciated the fine workmanship and clarity of the quartz crystal.
 

 I started to see those eye sockets in my dreams all aglow for 2 years. The skull would come into my dreams once and a while with eyes that were all aglow, not menacing but inquisitive. It was May, into August with increased presence in my sleeping and now some awareness of "missing her" feelings during the daytime. 
 
I called the owner of the Natures Bounty and inquired if the crystal skull was still there? He said, "It will be waiting for you when you come in." He could not send photos on a computer as this was beyond their capacity, so I ask my sister, Stephanie to go by when she was in Carmel and take some photos for me. Annie saw the photos Stephanie sent me and felt strongly it was a female presence.  
 
After receiving this photo (above) I realized it was what I was seeing in my dreams and had to go to Carmel to make contact with this crystal skull once and for all.  Calling Natures Bounty I inquired as to weather the crystal skull was still there? The shop owner said, "The crystal skull will be waiting for you." I was thinking, 'OK, he is a good salesperson.' Yet, I had to see what was causing me such disruption. I drove the 400 miles to Carmel.
 
When I arrived at Nature's Bounty there were people all around, I smiled at the owner as I walked in and continued to the back of the shop where I remember seeing the crystal skull. There she was sitting there patiently waiting. I went to the merchant and ask to bring her down so I could examine it. I was surprised to see the merchant had put a "hold" sign under the skull. The "H" was covered so it could have said sold.

 
I put my hand on the smooth polished surface and calmed myself. I picked her up and placed her 3rd eye to mine as the Shaman do as a formal greeting. I don't know why I did it, I was self conscious about the crowd but felt what I was doing was more important and would not disturb the other shoppers. The owner looked at me, said, "OK!" and got up and left! I got a vision of what I would describe as "STICK MEN" like the cave paintings I had seed on the Discovery channel. Then I realized she would work with me and decided to try and talk the shop owner to a price I could live with. 
 
We talked, he was very subdued, he said, "This crystal skull is very special to me, it belonged to a very close friend of mine who happened to be a buyer for the store. He is from Africa and he family is still there. He had it in a private collection in a warehouse for 22 years. Upon his death 5 years ago his father contacted us to see if we were interested in selling it. We agreed and only in the last 2 years decided to place it in the store. We have had it in the back in memory of our late colleague and friend.
 
We concluded our business agreeing not to disclose what we settled for on the crystal skull. The merchant had tears in his eyes knowing she was leaving and he was letting his dear friend go. He confided in me after the sale was complete and the crystal skull was in a foam filled box. "I knew when you first came in here it was for you. I would not let anyone touch it or bring it down except for your sister Stephanie, whom I had known previously. This crystal skull is going where she wants to go!"
 
This may sound strange to those not familiar with quartz but having DNA strands like our own only Silicon based as opposed to our Carbon base.  We have a similar "Electrical Charge" or Pizoelectric abilities Quartz has, therefore getting mental impressions form Quartz is not uncommon. If you don't believe it get some and spend some time around a crystalline being. Don't choose until you "feel" the one that catches your eye and you will get your first impression, "Take me home!" Try it and see what happens.
 
I left Nature's Bounty carrying the crystal skull like a newborn child. The though of dropping her on the concrete was enough to make my stomach turn. I was staying at my sisters home so that night, the 6th of August, 2009 I placed the crystal skull outside to be energized in the full moon and lunar eclipse happening that very night. I knew this would be an auspicious sign.
 
Driving the 400 miles back to our marina the next day I was like a new father. Once brought her home I was relieved and happy. The next day I placed her on the shelf by a window. The Sun comes in every day about noon. I took these pictures of her first Sun Shine in over 22 years.

Turns out a Dr. Minch, 20 yr. head of the Geology department, retired stated it was a pocket of Iron Oxide trapped in a void prior to the quartz cooling. I can't imagine how he could find this and shape a skull around it.  It takes a massive piece of quartz to make a skull this size, probably 60 to 70 pounds. To able to visualize a skull being carved placing the Occlusion in this position. This really is a remarkable piece of craftsmanship and art.

 As you can see she was happy to get energized by the Sun. Later at the World Mysteries Crystal Skull Conference in Tempe, Arizona it was confirmed by Gerald Leandro De Souza, a master Brazilian crystal carver for 25 years. He said, "This skull is female, the jaw is the same quartz as the skull and, you don't see to many delicate female skulls."See:  World Crystal Skull Conference 
 
 
Her history being vague I have roughly 30 years accounted for and a possible African source. Her presence takes up the whole room. The quality of carving and use of the natural Occlusion is extraordinary. The overwhelming sense of peacefulness in her expression gave her the name we use, "COMPASSION." Crystal skulls are ageless so putting a name on her limits her to my lifetime, true, but that is the strong impression I get from her. Everyone who came to her at the Crystal Skull Conference smiled and nodded when told her name.
 
The discovery of the Mitchell Hedges Skull and other Skulls at this time is a "Signpost from the Ancients!" It is time for us to follow our newly opening hearts. We are given a chance to "wake up!" learn to take charge of our own personal evolution. The Ancient Mayan knew time was like a wheel and would come around again, there calendar proved they knew more about the future 5,000 years ago than we do about next week! It' s up to "US!" the great mystics have said it from the beginning. "If we would just listen."
 
In a matter of days Annie and I were comfortable calling this most mystical Crystal Skull Compassion for the feelings we got and the expression on her face. They were known as "Singing Skulls," supposed to be able to sing and talk at ceremonies that way.
 
Compassion is all of these things with no past. It is up to the observer to make their own decisions during a quiet meditative moment. The point seem to be, WAKE UP AND REMEMBER OUR PAST!"  To prepare for the coming evolution of Gaia, centered in our hearts, coming from Love, Humility and Compassion. I feel then we will be able to accept the huge energy blast we will be receiving.
